HMRC and their agent accounts

by Colin McNally in Articles

You would think that an organisation who are about to implement MtD and ensuring that we ae all walking towards a fully online communication with them... that is until it comes to accountants.

If you change your company name or address, or take on clients from new companies then technology is not something HMRC really consider.

To change your agent address for Corporation Tax - yep that can be done.

For PAYE, Self Assessment or VAT it requires a letter.

If you buy over clients and then wish to switch them under your name then they request a new 64-8 for every client.

Why couldnt you do it online......HMRC bring yourself into the 21st Century....
